Temple History

Temple History Brahmma Sakthi Temple located at 174-B, 3rd cross street, Sadasivamnagar, Madipakkam, Chennai-600091, is a unique temple created with divine guidance that protects, guides and helps devotees through Brahmma Sree Bala Amma.

There is a legacy about the evolution of this temple, like any other temple. This Holy place was once a residence. For several years, there was a snake pit in this place. From this a powerful ray of light struck and emerged in the feminine form, whom we all worship now as Sree Bala Amma.

This temple was initially constructed under the divine order to Sree Bala Amma during one of her predictions. Accordingly in the year 2001, a combined sannadhi of Sree Bala Ganapathy, Sree Bala Murugan, Sree Santana Bagawathi, Sree Varahi and Sree Prathiyangira, Sree Chakram, Sree Viswaroopa Anjaneyar was installed and regular poojas, homam, and annadhanam were performed with utmost dedication.

Sree Bala Amma had, during her intense penance again, received a divine order to reconstruct the existing temple that was constructed in the year 2001, into a granite temple for Sree Santana Bagawathi, Sree Varahi and Sree Prathiyangira. Hence the proposal to reconstruct the temple in to a granite temple originated. Along with them, the Koshta God forms of Shiva lingam ,Sree Sulini Durgai, Sree Mahalakshmi Sameda Sree Hayagreevar, will also be installed. Further it has been decided that there will be separate sannadhies for "Sree Bala Ganapathy", "Sree Bala Murugan, "Sree Viswaroopa Anjaneyar" and “Sarpa Kameswari”.

As a general practice temples have been built based on Agama rules, Silpa Sastram (principles of Sculptures) and Vaastu Sastram (principles of architecture). However the specialty of this temple is that right from the type of idols, to the chakras to the type of poojas and the architecture everything has been guided by the Divine Mother.
